I hold a unique perspective on properties. Raised a native Cape Codder and currently a firmly transplanted Hudson Valley resident for the past 15 years, I breathe ocean and mountain environments while relating to the proximity of the urban metropolis. This area has it all within comfortable reach. I have long been passionate about land use and development and spent my academic career as a sociologist focused on the interactions of place (home, business, land) and community identity. Buildings are spaces that contain our daily experiences. Many a youthful hour was spent drawing the interiors of homes and observing the transformation of land into neighborhoods. Real estate has always been a part of my life as our family environment included developers, real estate agents, and property management professionals. I have career experience in planning, community profiling, historic preservation and training in land use mediation. These experiences allow me to see potential and benefit in properties that otherwise may not be obvious. I have lived in many places across the country and have personally experienced both buying and selling property. Each transaction is unique and presents its own property design, challenges and negotiations. It is my role to guide you through the real estate process toward the goal of finding you the property that fits your current needs or discovering the buyer that appreciates the value of your current property. When I am not zipping around from property to property, I enjoy time with my husband (an architect), our two cats (yes, we love dogs too), a good book (or ten), rowing/sculling, cycling, an escape to a bed and breakfast and exploring new places near and far.
